Our main character is Gary. I would ask him what is was like to have so many dogs? Maybe he had more dogs that he didn't write about. He probably had more because his parents were never there fore him.
I would ask him if he had any bad experiences with dogs? All he writes about is how the dogs save his life and how they are so smart. Maybe he had bad experiences with them and didn't write about them. If he did he would make a separate book to talk about the bad experiences.
Another question is did his parents ever meet his dogs. The only dog that came close to meeting his parents was Dirk. He didn't actually meet them. Since his parents drank and were always drunk.
